- people don't use signals before turning (at least my bus driver uses them).
- if trying to cross an exit from the main road, always assume any car nearby is taking it; they will take the corner at speeds normal people (read: outside Kuwait) don't take and just forget about signalling.
- if trying to cross a road and there is a car just about to accelerate in a distance that is usually safe (read: outside Kuwait), give way to the car, they will accelerate just like in the Fast & Furious movie - drifting are child's play.
- don't get in an accident with a Kuwaiti, (this is a rumor I don't want to know the truth by experience) non-Kuwaiti will always be wrong.
- imagine a two-way road, and you see a big car with people in white clothing inside trying to buy grocery while negotiating from within the car. Assume it is a Kuwaiti, don't honk. They will get out of the car and curse you like it is your fault not to wait 5 minutes for them to settle their shopping (while blocking the road).
- the bigger the bike (motorbike) the more likely they will not wear a helmet - wheelies are acceptable without helmets here. I think the cops won't mind it either.
It is normal to see a sports car. Kuwaiti are damn rich! |

I already have my International Driving License and a Kuwait driving insurance, but I'm not sure to get myself behind the wheel is a good idea or not. But it will surely be an interesting experience to drive in this horrid road jungle.
