He reminds me of Tzuo Hann, a guy with more of a 'Bear Grylls' kind of approach in touring. He rode his Surly Long Haul Trucker from US back to his hometown in Perak. You can read all about it in crazyguyonabike.com & search for longwayhome or just click here ---> http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/?doc_id=2405 Haha! I'm more keen towards bicycle touring, but it this will take a lot of time..
This is the Surly LHT (unloaded). Beautiful beast. |
Getting back on the main story, my office mates are generally super-bike fan-boys (that includes me) and they either have one or in the process of buying one (that excludes me, I'm broke). The guys told me about their plan to ride to Mae Hong Son Loop (Read about it here --> http://wikitravel.org/en/Mae_Hong_Son_Loop ). Rumour claims this mountain road to have over 1,864 curves in it with more than half to be knee-down corners (if you have the balls). And I was asked to prepare a bike cuz' I'm going!(?). Wohooo!!
The thing is, I don't own a big bike. The only thing that I have is what you see below.
I wonder how the hell I'm going to catch up.. Maybe I should borrow my father's 250 Ninja????
My trusty Kawasaki KLX150s (June 2011) --> Trail bike. |
Motard-ed version of my KLX150s. --> Not a trail bike. |
